I love my work

Jan works primarily to earn money so she can pay the bills.

The things that bring joy and fun into her life are at home or with friends and are not work related. If she didn’t rely on the income, Jan would not continue working in her industry.

Jan would like a promotion if it meant more money but is reluctant to sacrifice precious time with family or friends to make it happen.

Jan feels somewhat stuck in her job and doesn’t see much opportunity to progress.

Ajay works in a job that interests him and expects his career to grow over time. He wants to apply for more senior roles and possibly take on further study to advance in his career.

He likes the people he works with but his close friendships are all outside of work.

Ajay sometimes wonders if he is in the type of work that suits him best, but feels it would be too difficult to change careers now. He is more focused on getting a promotion.

Mia worked hard to get to her current position and is working towards achieving a specific career ambition.

She has clear goals that she is working on to get there but it is hard work and she doesn’t have a lot of time to socialise.

Mia is good at her job and enjoys being rewarded with promotions, pay rises and recognition, but she questions whether she could pursue a different type of work that would feel more meaningful and enjoyable

Paulo would like more control over how, where and when he works. He is working on developing specific skills and experience that will help him achieve this.

Paulo really enjoys the type of work he does and loves the process of getting better and learning about how his profession is evolving.

He feels as though he is part of a professional community that is doing great things and has become close friends with some of his colleague.

Kat finds her work incredibly rewarding. She feels that her job allows her to participate in activities that are important to her and make a difference to others.

Kat sees her career as an important part of who she is and feels lucky to do something that fits so well with her character.

Kat has very close bonds with her colleagues who are like family to her.Kat is fascinated by innovation in her profession and seeks opportunities to contribute to the evolution of her industry. Kat feels that she can one day become a leader in her field
